Hermes.h is a multipurpose electronic device which is divided into three different components: a screen, a touchpad keyboard with a capacitive stylus and a sound speaker. Even if the three parts are not connected, as shown in the picture below, they interacted perfectly. The design’s concept is puzzle-based, fowlling a dynamic form, which imposes the use of a high-tech materials and techniques. The keyboard is made of coated glass and it is based on a touch sreen technology known as FTIR (Frustrated Total Internal Reflection), which also enables unlimited customizable keyboard layouts. There is also an Ultra-Slim, flexible willow glass inside the coated glass which transforms solar energy into electricity, therefore batteries can be charged without any cable support. The main panel, made of quality tempered glass, is a holographic screen and has a built-in camera which allows you to take pictures, make video-calls via skype etc. Lastly, the sound speaker, has a microphone and a miniscreen which shows you the caller’s id.
